and highest standards of workmanship have for 135 years been the hallmark of the cutleries and hollowware of the German silverware manufacturers Robbe & Berking.
Unchanged for today’s fifth generation is the founder’s oft-quoted motto: "Others may do it more cheaply – but no-one may do it better than we do". Since then, management of the house Robbe & Berking has passed down from father to son four times. Out of a small workshop only known in the Flensburg area has grown todayˈs largest German maker of silver cutlery – at the same time a synonym for silver world-wide.
Major European museums already display silver cutlery of Flensburg manufacture as "outstanding examples of the silversmith’s current art".
Also, leading international restaurants and hotels are equipped with Robbe & Berking silver, as is the Palace of the King of Jordan, and the Paris Palace of the Aga Khan, or the four official guest residences at the Kremlin. Even in the new Federal Chancellery in Berlin, every meal is accompanied with Robbe & Berking silver.
